The Story of Women Changing the Fate of a Village

In the heart of Hatay, the founding story, production philosophy, and future vision of a cooperative kneaded with women's labor.

A Spark of Hope in the Heart of Hatay

Horanta: A Big Family Sharing the Same Bowl

Hatay is an ancient geography where civilizations have blended for thousands of years, and abundance bursts from every inch of its soil. In that unique nature where Kırıkhan leans its back, a dream nourished by the wind of Ceylanlı sprouted. The name of this dream is: Horanta.

"Horanta" is not just a word; in Anatolia, it means a "big family" that eats soup from the same bowl, warms up around the same hearth, and completes each other's shortcomings.

We, as Horanta Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative, set out to enlarge the table of this big family and introduce its labor to the world.

🌿

Ceylanlı, Kırıkhan / Hatay

Our region, with its endemic plant richness nourished by the Mediterranean climate and century-old olive trees, is the heart of our production story.

Story of Transformation

From "Unsold" to "Sold Out"

Our story is a silent revolution that touches lives rather than numbers. In the past, production in these lands was only to meet the needs of the household or to distribute to friends. Because women's labor could not find a market, it waited in chests and cellars.

🍅

The Red Revolution of Paste

30 kg 100+ kg

Our women, who produced 30 kg of paste under difficult conditions until yesterday and often could not find a place to sell it, today produce 100 kg and more under the roof of Horanta. Our pastes no longer wait in cellars; they bring the sun of Hatay to the tables.

🧼

The Pure Journey of Soap

Domestic Across Turkey

Our women, who produced soap only for their own use, are now "unable to keep up" with professional production techniques. Those fragrant laurel and olive oil soaps now reach all over Turkey as a source of healing.

🍇

The Abundance of Pomegranate Molasses

20 kg / 5 kg sale 100+ kg

Our producer, who made 20 kg of pomegranate molasses and could hardly sell 5 kilos of it, today produces over 100 kg with cooperative solidarity.

These numbers are not just statistics; they are a woman's self-confidence, a child's school expenses, and the future of a village.

"

Dear Friends, Precious Members of the Horanta Family;

When we set out on this path, we aimed not only to sell products but to keep a spirit alive. We trusted the soil of Hatay, the nature of Ceylanlı, and most importantly, the endless determination of our women. Horanta is a podium where women say "I am here too" beyond being an economic model.

Our goal is to bring the olive, pomegranate, and healing plants that our soil offers to you in their purest form, while telling you the story of those calloused hands behind them. We grow as we produce, we share as we grow.

Thank you for believing in us and sitting with us at this big table.

Our Production Philosophy

Loyalty to Nature and Tradition

🌿

Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

We preserve the endemic richness of our region; we transform our medicinal and aromatic plants into value-added products by processing them with scientific methods. Every plant is a prescription nature offers us.

🌿

Olive and Olive Oil: Liquid Gold

Our olive oils obtained from century-old olive trees of Hatay reach your tables without losing their naturalness with cold-pressed methods. Every drop of olive oil bottled with the Horanta brand carries the abundance of Ceylanlı.
